The crew will then set each post with a minimum of 80lbs of concrete (150lbs for gate posts).  Next, the crew will cut the tops of the posts off to insure the fences flows with the ground of your yard. After cutting the tops of the posts, the crew will frame the fence with 2x4s using 3" galvanized ring-shank nails.

Wood Fences are more cost effective than vinyl, aluminum, or chain-link fences but require some preventative maintenance to ensure a long life span. Staining and sealing the wood fence is the best way to ensure the fence does not warp or deteriorate.

Wood Fence Styles

Cap and Trim Fences

Cap and Trim fences are a great fence for privacy and security with a luxurious look. The different between a regular dog ear privacy fence and a cap and trim fence is the exposed post tops as well as a 2x4 and a 1x4 at the top of the fence.

Dog Ear Fences

Dog ear fences are the most budget friendly wood fences you can get. Dog ear privacy fences are great for privacy and security.

Arched Privacy Fences

Arched privacy wood fences are constructed the same as dog ear privacy fences but after all the pickets have been fastened to the rails, the tops of the pickets will be cut at an arch for an aesthetically pleasing privacy fence.

Scalloped Privacy Fence

Scalloped privacy wood fences are constructed the same as dog ear privacy fences but after all the pickets have been fastened to the rails, the tops of the pickets will be cut at a downward arch for an aesthetically pleasing privacy fence.

Shadow Box Privacy Fence

Shadow box fences are moderately great for privacy. Pickets are fasted to both sides of the fence and are staggered for moderate privacy and great security.
